How could we forget?

Considering what a big deal this is for Jenni, it's hard to believe we haven't mentioned anything about it.

Pride & Popularity was nominated for a Whitney Award in the Youth Fiction--General category!

She's up against some amazing competition, but we think she's got it in the bag! :)

Pride and Popularity- A classic for Teens

Jenni James "decodes [Pride and Prejudice] for a teenage audience."

"The twists and turns play out in this teenage romance where popularity, school dances and getting into college are all that matter. . . . Pride & Popularity is romantic, age-appropriate and morally clean, giving younger audiences reassurance that they don’t need to compromise to be cool. But the message rings as true in Pride & Popularity as it does in Pride and Prejudice — first impressions are too often wrong and second chances are always welcome.

Thanks to Caitlin Orton for the Deseret News for this great review.

Northanger Alibi--wittiness and appeal of Jane Austen's novels, but with a modern twist

Sheila over at LDS Women's Book Review said of Northanger Alibi:

Main character, Claire Hart, is obsessed with The Twilight Series. She loves hot vampires and is excited to visit Washington state during the summer. Claire is hoping to find her own vampire while she is there. . . . There is a lot of romance, with eye-batting, flirting and kissing. . . . I am happy to recommend this book to my daughter, her friends, and blog reader’s daughters. Northanger Alibi is a clean romance, with many “giggle” moments, and the wittiness and appeal found in Jane Austen’s novels, but with a fun modern twist.

Northanger Alibi-The King's English Book Launch

Shelly over at Writing with Shelly and Chad wrote about Jenni's Salt Lake City Book launch of Northanger Alibi at The King's English.

And as Shelly says, the book "had me at Northanger"

Northanger Alibi-Teenage girls will likely find "Northanger Alibi" as engrossing as Twilight.

What do fans of Twilight read now that the Twilight craze is dying down? Why Northanger Alibi!  In her recent review, Caitlin Orton for the Deseret News said "teenage girls will likely find Northanger Alibi as engrossing as Twilight." Wow!

Which is especially appealing to parents who are looking for fun, clean, wholesome reading for their teenage daughters. Caitlin goes on to say that "[Claire] is the kind of role model parents hope for their daughters, and the author gives readers plenty of reasons to look up to [her.]" Jenni James "continues to make Austen's classics come to life for 21st century teens. The plot, language and characters are appropriate for young readers, and on top of that the story reinforces traditional family values."
