Pride & Popularity-Best book of 2011!

Don't you love reading best books of the year posts, especially when you know that the reviewers are prolific?  Guess which book made it onto the top seven of of Fire and Ice?  It's Pride & Popularity of course!!

Why did Heather choose Pride & Popularity? She said it "won her heart" and she would "completely recommend it as worth the time and purchase." Wow! But don't take my word for it, head over and read the rest of her recommendation.

A Fire and Ice bonus: an interview with Jenni James.

Pride & Popularity is engaging, adorable and sparkling

If you're a fan of Jane Austen and have yet to check out Jane Austen Reviews, you need to soon as it seems she's covered every Jane Austen sequel/spinoff ever written.

So it's no small praise when she says "Having read several other Young Adult retellings of Pride and PrejudiceLove, Lies, and Lizzie by Rosie Rushton, Prom and Prejudice by Elizabeth Eulberg, and Mr. Darcy Goes Overboard by Belinda Roberts – I must admit that Pride and Popularity by Jenni James is my top choice and receives my highest recommendation! In my opinion, it is the most plausible, accessible, and well-crafted YA version of Pride and Prejudice I have read!"
